Harry Potter!

I must say, Harry Potter movies are pretty tremendous. Usually, sequels suck compared to the first movie, but Harry Potter keeps getting better and better with each passing movie. The acting, effects, and story are just some of the things that keep getting better. The acting was alright in the first movie, but could definitely have been better. Thankfully, the acting between the underage characters got better as the movies went on. Also, in regards to the acting, the movies have some famous, well-known actors, like Maggie Smith (Nanny McPhee, Hook, Sister Act), Warwic Davis (Star Wars, Leprechaun), Robert Pattinson (Twilight), and Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeny Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Planet of the Apes, THE WOMAN VERSION OF JOHNNY DEPP!).
The movie effects for this series are crazy with a capital “C”. I love how in the first movie, the wall actually looks like it is moving into a door for Harry Potter and Hagrid to appear in Diagon Alley. The effects make it seem like there is magical wands and flying brooms. The effects are especially amazing, I believe, in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, like the dangerous and magical hedge maze, the magic that enables the different people to breath under water (having a shark face, breathing bubble, or fins) and the pretty, but treacherous dragons ( All the mythically creatures are astounding in these movies). Effect wise, the make-up for the actors blows my mind. Lord Voldemort looks absolutely breathe taking (not in a weird way), Hagrid is perfectly ginormous and hairy. It is astonishing what people are able to do for movies these days when just 50 years ago, these concepts were just a crazy fantasy. It is too bad that the movies weren’t done in 3D because it already feels like you are part of the movie; I could only imagine how it would be in 3D.
The story line is amazing. With each movie, the story line gets more and more interesting and suspenseful. As everyone should know, the Harry Potter movies are based on the Harry Potter books written by J.K. Rowling. I, sadly, hear that the movies aren’t nearly as good as the books and don’t do the books justice. However, that is the way all books and their movies seem to be. I, personally, never read the books because I could never get into them, but I absolutely love the movies. Each movie gets longer and longer because the story is so detailed and incredible. The last book had to be made into two movies!
To curl up in my blankie on the couch and have a Harry Potter marathon with my mommy and little brother was wonderful. My brother and I love these movies and were having a marathon with my mom so that we could go see the last movie; part 1 anyway! We made all sorts of snacks and hunkered down and watched movie after movie for almost a week straight. These movies are mind blowing and I cannot wait to get home to my family and watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!

Hawaiian Life

Laughing, dancing and having fun with family is awesome.  Though one moves away, they never forget. Moving away, was hard, but for me it was one of the most memborable things.
Coming from a small town in Idaho definately allowed me to open my eyes to the differnt lifestyle of those in Hawaii.  The constant sun, warm beaches and relaxed lifestyle is always constant here in Hawaii.  The poeple are nice, the food is wonderful, and the endless green is beautiful.
My move here from Idaho was for the reason of going to college.  I moved to Hawaii and currently reside in the island of Oahu.  My move was directly into the Hawaii Pacific University windward campus dorms.  There is a lot of green here, and the air is clean and vibrant.
I love the college life here, but I cannot wait to head back to Idaho to see my family and puppy this winter break!
